(Click each picture to make it larger, I used my cell phone camera because Camera B ran out of juice)
Sound Bites (click) asked me to make some food for a professional photo shoot for their press kits. I was a little nervous about the whole thing because I knew that the stakes were pretty high, I mess up or overcook something then it will kill the shoot. HAVE NO FEAR!!! I knocked it out of the park!
It’s all about having the right ingredients to begin with so my day started by going to Pike Place Market in search of over-the-top food! A dozen oysters that were bigger than my hands, a huge halibut steak as seen before in another recipe of mine (click), and 3 pounds of flank steak.
What were the recipes? I’ll tell you when I get the final pictures. I saw the rough drafts before color correction and let me just tell you, it’s amazing! I was in awe that I was able to cook food that looked like that. The food stylist and photographer made my food look perfect. The best part of the evening is that we were able to eat it all!
Thanks again Sound Bites for giving me a chance to strut my stuff!
Eric

That’s awesome. I have a couple of friends who do food stylings down here. It’s pretty neat. Glad you dishes came out great. I can tell from the screen on the computer. I use that same program too. =)
Way to knock it out of the park! Food for photo shoots is no easy task; it’s a testament to your skill and passion.
Thanks Michael! I just hope I get more opportunities like that. It was awesome.
