The Adventures of Tom the Pom: Seattle

20091020_8081

Tom the Pom gave me a great tour of his orchard and  processing plant so I decided to give him a tour of Seattle/Bellevue.

The first stop was Bellevue because I had to show him where I worked.

He thought downtown was nice but was amazed when he saw the fall colors

Tom is a fall type of guy (pomegranates are harvested during the fall season) so it was nice for him to see other colors than just green and red.  Next up was Seattle. He wanted to read a few books so we stopped by the library.

After breaking a mental sweat we went over to Pike Place Market. He wanted to see how some of his brothers were doing.

We walked around and checked out the other types of produce then we found some of his family!

Tom told the vendor that the sign was spelled wrong. He’s kind of crazy about that kind of thing.  We walked around a little more and a few more family members popped up.

Tom was laughing a little because they were announcing “jumbo” sized pomegranates. He was a bit bigger than them so he was feeling good. We were walking through the main entrance about to leave when Tom said he wanted me to take a picture of him really quick.

He is hilarious. We walked a few blocks away and visited the Seattle Art Museum. He thought this picture would be hilarious as well.

Eesh, whatever Tom. After walking around a few blocks I said I would take him to the Space Needle but I was starving so we headed over to Serious Pie.

Finally, the Space Needle. I gave him the regular tourist treatment but he had a blast anyway. He’s going to be hanging out for a couple more days so you’ll be seeing a little more of Tom the Pom. Until next time!
