Sometimes it’s very hard to figure out if something online will work on your own table at home. I look at all the ingredients, then I look at the process, then I look at the presentation and I have always come to the same conclusion with Natasha’s food….perfect.

Check out the recipe for yourself then let her know how you shorted out your keyboard because you drooled all over it.

If I had 10 stars to give I would give them to Natasha and her fantastic blog over at 5starfoodie.com. She is a fellow Foodbuzz Featured Publisher and is probably the most giving person on Foodbuzz and the cooking blog world. I have posted a lot of recipes on Foodbuzz that come from this site (393, to be exact) and I can’t think of one that didn’t have a rating or a comment from Natasha. It is amazing to me that she has that much patience to look at my crazy ideas and actually give me some good ratings considering the quality of her food is beyond 5 stars!

She is also an accomplished food reviewer and has also been to some of the best restaurants in the world, so any compliment from her that I receive is like hitting a grand slam in the bottom of the ninth inning in order to win the World Series. I have a hard time with food reviewers because a lot of them fail miserably at boiling water but Natasha has the skills in the kitchen and has seen her fare share of excellent meals in order for me to trust her reviews.

Thanks again Natasha!

Breadplusbutter.blogspot.com is my food blog of the month. Jenn sure knows how to rock food combinations. I love pesto and I love avocado so this is a brilliant take on these two ingredients I wouldn’t have thought to put together.  It’s another reason I wouldn’t mind moving to California or Puerto Rico because I really do love avocados that much and the quality of avocados I get here in Washington don’t compare!

Check out this phenominal recipe for yourself. I’m sure you’ll try it and love it!

This was an easy choice to make. Jennifer over at Breadplusbutter.blogspot.com is my food blogger of the month for the month of June.

WHY?

Her recipes are simple and flawless. Everytime I visit her site I remember that I just need to keep things simple instead of always trying to one up myself with another crazy creation. I’ve been following her site since she started it up in March and I’m proud to say I was her first commenter!

Her blog has grown into a top million website and she has also lent a little time to be an author on my other blog, whatareyoueating.wordpress.com.  Everytime I post a new recipe on here she is almost always the first to comment and she leaves such nice compliments that keep me pushing forward with this blog on days that I don’t normally want to post. I look around at other blog friend’s blogs and there she is, lending her positive words to other bloggers….I think it’s awesome and whether she realizes it or not it really keeps a smile on my face when I know at least someone out there is watching my blog :)

Who?

She’s a filmmaker, food blogger and entrepreneur as she says on her blog. Here is her producer reel from 2007

She also produced this video and others:

I think that’s f’ing great! I’m envious and it’s cool to meet someone who is an amazingly all-around talented person. She’s a fantastic writer, photographer, and food creator so that’s why she’s my food blogger of the month.

This month I will be stealing an idea from Greg over at Sippitysup.com (May’s food blogger of the month), I will be creating one of her recipes from her blog and I will be posting my interpretation of her food on this blog. You will also see 4-5 other posts following her blog during the weeks ahead.

chilisauce

Greg and I have something in common, we both love this chili sauce. I have a huge canister of it in my fridge and I rarely get to use it because as people say, “it’s too spicy”. Normally, it’s just something I spoon out for myself and I usually just sit in the corner while I’m smiling with my mouth on fire. It’s nice to see someone else who shares the same passion for the hot spice!!!  Greg, that’s why you’re the blogger of the month!

One of the first people to comment on this blog was Greg over at Sippitysup.com. I was just starting to get used to this whole food blog thing and Greg started visiting my blog more and more, leaving encouraging comments and a few tips for me. After a few more visits I realized, “oh, I can actually click on his name and it will take me to his blog”. So I visited his blog and I was left in awe. Frankly, I still am in awe of his blog.

His writing is perfect, his recipes are inspiring, and his pictures have made me try to eat my laptop screen more times than I care to admit. I visit his site everyday and I will tell my wife, “Mindy, you have to check out what Greg did, it’s amazing again!!”.

Yes, I did win a contest on his site but that is not the reason I’m making him the blog of the month. He really has helped me out a ton with this site. I have sent him a few e-mails here and there asking him for advice and each time he has written back answering every question and has gone above and beyond my expectations with his helpful advice. I’ve never met Greg before but I feel like I have known the guy forever.

Through the month I’ll be featuring one recipe of his per week on this blog. You can check him out everyday for yourself at Sippitysup.com, prepare to be blown away.

Thanks again Greg!!!
