Mindy planted our little mobile garden for her third season. Mindy’s work in the garden is paying off! This is the lettuce that she started growing from seeds that is taking over its pot. I raided a basil plant and made a pesto base sauce (it’s a concentrated version for use in vinaigrettes, butter sauces, etc…). MindyRiveraFarms: Potting Day

Peppers, tomato, rosemary, crazy looking peas, frisee, and guard for Blue. Table of lechugas, herbs, and the bigger Bailey Onions and more lechuga And back inside the house we have tomatoes and cucumbers looking nice as they sprout up. This has been a huge success so far and I’m really proud of Mindy’s farm…..much better than Farmville! Eric

Mindy went to a plant sale this weekend and purchased a few more things for me to cook with. Butterhead lettuce, rosemary, endive, a jalapeno plant, and one of these: Hungarian paprika! I love paprika! Hungarian isn’t sweet like the Spanish version but it’s still a favorite of mine. Oh, she also bought a more functional bay leaf tree for me since Bailey is going to take a while…..
